We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in rehabilitating a gas turbine power plant under the supervision of international company. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing the plant's condition, developing and implementing repair strategies, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility in accordance with Ethos Energy standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough inspections of all major components, including the gas turbine, compressor, turbine blades, combustors, and auxiliary systems, following international inspection protocols.
· Utilize Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques to detect internal defects and material degradation, adhering to international quality control guidelines.
· Analyze vibration data to identify potential imbalances or misalignments, interpreting results in line with international standards.
· Assess the plant's overall performance, including efficiency, output, and emissions, comparing findings to international benchmarks.
· Select appropriate replacement components, considering factors like cost, availability, performance, and compatibility with international standards.
· The disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of components, ensuring compliance with international procedures.
· Manage the repair or replacement of damaged or worn-out components, coordinating with international technicians and engineers as needed.
· Ensure proper reassembly and testing of all components, verifying results against international specifications.
· Participate in the commissioning process to ensure the plant operates as designed, following international startup and commissioning procedures.
· Monitor the plant's performance after rehabilitation to identify any issues and make necessary adjustments, collaborating with international for troubleshooting and resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in gas turbine power plant operations, maintenance, or rehabilitation, with a strong preference for experience working with Gas turbine equipment or under their supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity international standards, procedures, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with gas turbine models.
- Professional engineering licensure.
- Completion of international training programs or certifications.
