Job Title: Electrical Technician
Work Location: GT Repair Workshop - Abu-Ghraib
Duties & Responsibilities :
Assist in the installation, termination, and testing of electrical equipment, including
cables, transformers, switchgear, and motors.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical
systems, including power distribution, control, and protection systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, including short circuits, ground faults, and
overcurrent conditions.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, including motor winding
tests, insulation resistance tests, and thermography.
Assist in the commissioning and startup of electrical systems.
Perform data entry and record-keeping for electrical maintenance activities.
Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work.
Work closely with Electrical Engineers and other technicians to ensure project
success.
Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Academic Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent
Field/Industry of Experience: Industrial factory
Role of Experience/Expertise: Low Voltage, Termination, Testing, Earthing, Motors,
Laing cables, etc.
Language Proficiency: Arabic: Native - English: Good
Software Skills:
Experience working with specific gas turbine models and their associated electrical systems.
Experience with PLC/DCS systems and their associated electrical interfaces.
