Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Baghdad - Abu Ghraib - Gas Turbine Repair Workshop
Responsibilities:
Specific:
1. Preparation of and inspection of coating samples for coating booth qualifications and issuing of lab releases.
2. Prepare coating test specimens for bond testing.
3. Perform PMI material inspections and verifications.
4. Titration of stripping solutions and verifications of Fe content.
5. Verification of all incoming material certificates (coating material, braze powders and weld wires) verifying
chemical analysis and material composition, issuing of lab releases and acceptance to stock.
6. Verification and review of all outsourced inspection reports / certificates (X-ray or other) to verify conformity
to specification.
7. Verification, review of all outsourced tensile / bond test reports and ensure conformity to specification.
8. Verification and review of all internal heat treatment charts verifying cycle conformance (ramp up rates, hold
times, vacuum levels and cool down rates), maintaining charts within the work order quality documents.
9. Support Engineering performing First Article Inspection of coating (FAIC) and create report
10. Support Engineering in microstructure sample preparations and analysis for incoming material samples.
11. Support Engineering in sample preparations for Destructive Testing evaluations.
12. Support Engineering in lab processing of new process/ product development.
13. Maintaining all lab equipment.
14. Maintaining and control of all lab supplies.

Job Specification:
Education: Diploma or Bachelor degree in Material Science or Chemical
Experiences for external candidate: 1-2 years’ experience in laboratory work function
English Skill: Good command of English
