Job Purpose:
To lead and manage maintenance teams efficiently, ensuring continuous operation of critical systems and equipment with minimal downtime, achieving the highest standards of performance, quality, and safety through strategic and operational planning based on engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance plans for all engineering departments: Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Control & Systems, Agriculture.
- Set maintenance priorities based on risk analysis and operational impact.
Technical Supervision:
- Direct supervision of operation and maintenance of:
- Water treatment and pumping stations
- Firefighting systems
- Electrical substations and high-voltage equipment
- High-capacity generators (up to 10 MW)
- Ensure system reliability with no sudden or repeated failures.
Improvement and Quality:
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
- Apply Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to increase system efficiency and reduce costs.
- Enhance technical team skills through training and on-the-job guidance.
Administration and Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports to top management on:
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Failure rates and work progress
- Lead urgent maintenance responses and coordinate with technical teams.
- Develop emergency plans and operate backup systems as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Postgraduate studies or advanced professional courses are preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
2. Work Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in maintenance.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in supervisory or leadership roles.
- Proven experience with:
- Water and pumping stations
- Firefighting systems
- Industrial electrical systems and transformers
- PLC control systems
- Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies
- Willingness to work overtime, on holidays, and weekends if required
3. Professional Certifications (if any):
- NFPA – Fire Protection Systems
- High Voltage Certification
